The Angels shock the baseball world after they announced they’ve fired manager Joe Maddon. Buster Olney of ESPN reported shortly before the team announcement that such a move was under consideration. Phil Nevin will take over on an interim basis.
The decision comes as the Halos are mired in a disastrous stretch of play. Los Angeles is currently amidst a 12-game losing streak, one that has seen the club fall two games under .500.
