Bettor Loses $150,000 Betting On Pirates-Dodgers

If you are having a rough week, it likely doesn't compare to what happened to this person.

One person put $150,000 on the Dodgers vs. Pirates game this week and the bet was put on the on the Los Angeles Dodgers to cover a 2.5-run spread against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The bettor got the Dodgers at -115 to cover the spread. The person thought that was better value than on the moneyline as Los Angeles was -350 to win straight up. The Pirates were -105 to keep the game within two runs or win and +280 to win straight up. A Dodgers win by three or more runs would have netted the bettor just over $130,000 on that wager and that win didn't happen.
