Speculation about Colorado Buffaloes Head Football Coach Deion Sanders leaving at the end of the season to take over the Dallas Cowboys has reached a fever pitch, but recent reports that top QB prospect Julian Lewis has committed to play in Boulder has some people pumping their brakes. But Doug reminds us that despite any promises Deion might have made to the young man, an offer of a huge contract to coach his son in the NFL would be difficult to pass up.
Doug Gottlieb: “I know we want to think hey, you get Julian Lewis, that means he’s staying. He promised Julian Lewis he’s staying. And maybe he did. But if an NFL owner comes by and says I’m going to give you $10M to coach my team and you get to coach your son, things change.”
