Hampton Morris, a 20-year-old weightlifter from Marietta, Georgia, is making waves in the world of Olympic weightlifting. A three-time World Championships medalist and six-time Pan-American Championships medalist, Morris is a rising star in the sport.

Born and raised in Marietta, Morris graduated from Pope High School in 2022. He has since dedicated his life to weightlifting, earning a reputation for his discipline and determination. His impressive record includes one junior gold, one junior silver, and one youth gold at the World Championships, as well as three senior golds, one junior gold, one youth gold, and one youth bronze at the Pan-American Championships.

Morris's dedication extends beyond the weightlifting platform. His diet, a critical aspect of his training, consists of a surprising amount of rice. He told CBS42, "In and out of competition, my diet is pretty much the same. It’s just the amount of food that changes. It’s a lot of rice, a lot of protein." He consumes about 2 pounds of rice a day, along with protein shakes, chicken, red meat, fruits, raw vegetables, and nuts

Morris's hard work and dedication have paid off. He has earned 20 gold medals for Team USA in his career and held 10 world records. He also set eight American records at the 2024 European Championships in Bulgaria and ended Paris 2024 qualification ranked number two in the world for his weight class.
