Dodger have announced today that they have cut ties and have officially released pitcher Trevor Bauer. He will now be free to sign with any other team.
The Dodgers are still responsible for the $22.5 million remaining on Bauer's contract. Now that he's a free agent, Bauer is free to sign with any team. If anyone picks him up, the team that signs him will only be on the hook for the prorated portion of the $720,000 league minimum in 2023.
Before the New Year, an arbitrator reduced Bauer's suspension under MLB's domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse policy from 324 games to 194 games. At that point he was officially reinstated in the league.
