All the way back in April, Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred handed down the biggest non-lifetime ban in MLB history upon Bauer for violating the league’s domestic violence policy. Following that, Bauer decided to appeal that suspension.

According to Bill Shaikin in the Los Angeles Times, the decision on Bauer's appeal is unlikely to come before next month.

The arbitrator's decision is expected no earlier than next month. Neither Bauer nor the league have said what specific conduct was deemed to have violated that policy. However, Commissioner Rob Manfred levied a two-year suspension, the longest such penalty under the policy.

If Bauer's suspension gets overturned by Major League Baseball, the Dodgers would owe him $32 million as well as $15 million for the 2023. Earliest we would all know the decision would be next month.
