Dave Roberts Responds To Reports That Trevor Bauer Will Return Sunday

Pitcher Trevor Bauer who is currently on administrative leave, but there are rumblings that he could show up to the team’s stadium this weekend.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Bauer is exploring whether there is a binding agreement in place regarding his administrative leave.

Bauer’s administrative leave was set to expire this Sunday. However, it was reported earlier on this week that Major League Baseball and players’ association extended his leave through April 22. If the recent extension to Bauer’s leave isn’t binding, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred will have to either officially impose a new suspension or let Bauer show up to Dodger Stadium according to the Times.

Manager Dave Roberts said today before the game that he wasn't aware of this happening. Bauer has not pitched since June 29, 2021. In 17 games with the Dodgers, the former Cy Young winner had an 8-5 record with a 2.59 ERA.
