Los Angeles Dodgers Manager, Dave Roberts joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show as Spring Training gets underway. He says the squad looks strong and ready to go. He shares the excitement of the organization over acquiring Freddie Freeman who seems to be fitting in well with the rest of the team. He addresses the rumors that Clayton Kershaw might be interested in finishing his career as a Texas Ranger. And he weighs in on some of the rule changes being instituted this season.
Dan Patrick:ย โIt feels like this might be year-to-year with Clayton, or am I reading too much into this?โ
Dave Roberts:ย โI think that itโs fair as far as a year-to-year situation. I think right now heโs in a position where he can dictate where he wants to play. And obviously heโs a Dodger for life, a Dodger legend, but Texas is home and so thatโs been kind of made public. But right now, heโs a Dodger for this year. Weโll see what happens next year...โ
Dan:ย โSo, you could see him, itโs not out of the realm of possibilities that he could end his career as a Texas Rangers?โ
Dave:ย โYou know what, with Clayton, I donโt want to speak for him DP, but I could see that thatโs a possibility. But thatโs up to him and Alan, so I donโt know that answer.โ
