Could we get another Juan Uribe coming in the MLB soon?
In a video posted by Hector Gomez, it shows a video of Juan Uribe JR., a member of the CLASS OF 2022, fielding grounders at short just like his father used to way back in the day. Juan Uribe SR became a fan favorite towards the end of his Dodger career.
Dodgers signed Juan Uribe to a free agent deal after he helped the San Francisco Giants win the 2010 World Series. Immediately, fans weren't fired up about the signing and he got off to a horrible start with the Dodgers. He played third for the Dodgers and didn't have the best seasons. But in 2013 is where things changed.
The 2013 National League Division series is where Uribe became a Dodgers legend. With the Dodgers down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Yasiel Puig hit a double off of David Carpenter. This brought up Uribe and, despite him not doing it all year, manager Don Mattingly called him on to bunt. He bunt-fouled the first two pitches. Uribe then pounded one to the Dodgers bullpen to give the Dodgers the lead.
