Otis Anderson Jr., a former standout for the UCF football team & LA Ram was reportedly shot and killed at his home in Jacksonville, Florida by his father.

Ashley Harding from News 4 in Jacksonville reported police arrived at the scene on Monday night where they found a man and woman shot. The man, who is said to be Otis Anderson Jr, died in the hospital while the woman, his mother Denise, has not been reported dead. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened around 9:30 p.m on Monday night.

The primary suspect in the case is Anderson’s father, Otis Lee Anderson Senior. He was arrested around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning and charged with two counts of second-degree murder. A court hearing will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Information reveals that Anderson Sr., 52, is not eligible for bond. Descriptions for both charges read that he is being charged for “Murder / Dangerous act evincing a depraved mind w/o premed,” which means authorities do not believe that either murder was premeditated at this time.

During his time at UCF, “Juice” rushed for 2,182 yards, racked up 1,025 receiving yards, and scored 26 total touchdowns. Anderson briefly spent time on the Los Angeles Rams practice squad at the beginning of this season.
