The New York Yankees this offseason have made it very clear since the season ended against the Boston Red Sox that they want to upgrade at shortstop.
Right now, two of the best shortstops in the game are on the free agency market and according to MLB insider Jim Bowden, the Yankees have been in conversation with both.
According to sources, Yankees are in conversation with agents for both Corey Seager and Carlos Correa”. Those words were tweeted by MLB Insider Jim Bowden, who writes for The Athletic.
Seager, who has spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Dodgers to this point, hit .306/.394/.521 with a .915 OPS and 16 homers in 353 at-bats during the 2021 campaign. After the season ended against the Braves, Seager made it publicly known that he would love to return to Los Angeles but openly said that he understands the buisness side of it.
