This winter is going to be one for the ages for the Los Angeles Dodgers because of all the names that are set to be free agents.

Corey Seager is one of the hottest names on the free-agent market. The Dodgers will be interested in bringing Seager back but it still remains to be seen. According to Jorge Castillo of The LA Times, the Dodgers tried to extend Seager earlier in the season. Obviously nothing transpired from the talks.

The Dodgers offered Seager a contract extension earlier this year, according to people with knowledge of the situation. They would welcome a return. If he does re-sign, the Dodgers could move him to third base or keep him at shortstop and trade Trea Turner. The Dodgers acquired Turner along with Scherzer to play second base in 2021 and move to shortstop in 2022 if Seager left. Retaining Seager would open options.

Seager said after the Game 6 NLCS loss vs. the Atlanta Braves that he would love to be back with the team and how he believes the Dodgers approach the game.
