Mike Trout Reportedly "Very Invested" Into Bringing Max Scherzer To Anaheim

Max Scherzer was acquired by the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline this year and has absolutely been dominant. But unfortunately for the Dodgers, Scherzer is a free agent after this season and Scherzer will have a big decision to make in the winter.

One team that would love Scherzer's services is the Angels and during an appearance on Buster Olney’s Baseball Tonight podcast, Angels’ play-by-play man Matt Vasgersian said he’s hearing Trout has been “very invested” in an effort to “bring Max Scherzer to Anahem”.

#Angels PBP Announcer Matt Vasgersian on Buster Olney's Baseball Tonight podcast: "From what I understand, there’s already a lot of lobbying happening by players and the very top of the payroll there. Mike Trout is very invested in the ‘bring Max Scherzer to Anaheim effort’"

Angels already have a top-10 payroll in baseball for 2022 (approximately $111.2 million) with only five players’ salaries locked in.
