Los Angeles Lakers Acquire Russell Westbrook In A Blockbuster Deal

Russell Westbrook is on his way to becoming a Los Angeles Laker. The 2017 MVP wants to return home to Los Angeles and has asked the Wizards to send him there, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. According to Shams, the Russell Westbrook trade is done!

The Washington Wizards have agreed to trade Russell Westbrook, 2024 second-round pick, 2028 second-round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell and No. 22 tonight, sources tell @TheAthletic@Stadium

In the 2020-21 campaign, Westbrook averaged a triple-double for the fourth time in his career. He posted averages of 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 11.7 assists per game while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from deep.
