The Dodgers announced they’ve acquired outfielder Billy McKinney from from the Mets for outfield prospect Carlos Rincon. New York had designated McKinney for assignment earlier in the week. To create space on the roster, Los Angeles designated reliever Jake Reed for assignment.

McKinney has already suited up for the Brewers and Mets this season. Between the two clubs, he’s compiled a .213/.282/.415 line with eight home runs across 202 plate appearances.

Los Angeles will have a week to trade Reed or expose him to waivers.
