Last night, the Los Angeles Dodgers took on the San Diego Padres and kicked off a 3-game series. Today, Joe Kelly shared in his pre-game press conference that the umpires checked him out for foreign substances while he was pitching and he had a hilarious response while he was getting checked.
As Joe Kelly was getting checked, Joe Kelly handed over his goggles to the umpire and said: “You should check these anyway, because they’re sick."
Kelly later revealed that he is a fan of pitchers getting checked because of the even playing field.
