The Dodgers have announced that they have activated right-handed pitcher Joe Kelly from the injured list and placed left-handed pitcher Scott Alexander on the injured list with left shoulder inflammation retroactive to May 3.
Kelly returns for the first time this year after missing the first 32 games of the season with a right shoulder issue. He revealed to WEEI in Boston that he underwent surgery in November to address a right shoulder cyst that impacted him during the 2020 season. This year, he had been throwing at the Dodgers’ alternate site to ramp up for his return.
