Las Vegas Raiders Face Backlash Over Post After Derek Chauvin Verdict

On Tuesday, a panel of jurors found former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty on all three charges in connection with the May 2020 death of George Floyd.

Chauvin was charged and found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. His bail was immediately revoked and social media erupted as everybody from every corner of the country took to social media to speak on it.

Hours after the verdict was ready, the Las Vegas Raiders Twitter account sent out a picture that has now gone viral for all the wrong reasons. The account said: "I CAN BREATHE" The reaction to the Raiders' social media post has been almost all negative with athletes and celebrities chiming in on the tweet.
