It has been over a year now since we lost the great Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and the 7 others were tragically killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas.

For the first time since the celebration of life funeral, Vanessa Bryant talks to People magazine for an exclusive to talk about getting through these tough times.

This pain is unimaginable [but] you just have to get up and push forward," she says.
Lying in bed crying isn't going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again. But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that's what I do.

Vanessa Bryant went on to talk about how she tries to find inspiration from Kobe and Gigi.

They inspire me to try harder and be better every day. Their love is unconditional and they motivate me in different ways."
