Dodgers Fan Gets His Cardboard Cutout That Was Struck Twice In 2020 Season

Big time Dodger fan Austin Donley, got a pretty special surprise over the weekend.

Donley took to Twitter to show off the cardboard that was hit by baseballs over the course of this past 2020 season. If you remember, he had purchased cutouts since he was usually in the stands attending games every summer at Dodger Stadium.

The first time Donley's cardboard got hit, catcher Will Smith sit a solo homerun in the in the 9th inning to cut the lead to 1 run. But while the club’s late rally fell short, that homerun also ended up taking out a fan who bought a cardboard cut out of himself at Dodger Stadium.

He that tweeted out the highlight of his cutout getting taken out by Will Smith even got a response by Will Smith on Twitter:

Sorry I took your head off... shoot me a dm and I’ll hook it up for you

According to Donley, Smith hooked him up! Here is what Donley had to say:

Huge thank you to@will_smith30and the@Dodgersfor hooking it up! Wouldn’t want to be hit in the cardboard face by anybody else.

Donley and the cardboard cutout are finally reunited.
