Vin Scully Eager For A Dodgers Championship: What’s Taking Them So Long?’

San Diego Padres v Los Angeles Dodgers

Vin Scully, like every other passionate Los Angeles Dodgers fan, believes this World Series is getting set to end.

The Dodgers, are up 3-2 and Game 6 is Tuesday night (5:08PM on AM 570 LA Sports) are finally going to end their 32-year World Series championship drought, and the images of Kirk Gibson pumping his arm, Tommy Lasorda wildly throwing his arms into the air and Scully’s famous call on the night of Oct. 15, 1988, will give way to new celebratory images.

"I don’t mean to put anybody down," Scully, the beloved Hall of Fame broadcaster, told USA TODAY Sports on Monday, "but when the series started, I thought the Dodgers would win in five (games). Not that I know anything, but my thought is, 'What’s taking them so long?’

The Dodgers can clinch their first World Championship since the 1988 season. Dodgers fans everywhere deserve this including the former voice of the Dodgers Vin Scully.
