I think we have to do a little bit of digging to do after some comments made by Manny Machado recently.
Lets take a quick look back at last year when the Padres played at Dodger Stadium. When Manny Machado was standing near the on-deck circle at Dodger Stadium, Machado had a quick exchange with a Dodgers fan who was sitting near the front. The fan first told Machado that he will be getting the "next 10 Octobers off" after he signed with the Padres. Machado responded right back to the fan.
I bet you my contract we'll win a World Series before you guys do.
Dennis Lin of The Athletic recently asked about the bet that Manny Machado made last year with the Dodgers fan. Here is his response:
“I think I’d have to go check Twitter on that one,” Machado said. “I’m not really sure about it.”
Los Angeles Dodgers have defeated the San Diego Padres in 3 games to advance to their 4th NLCS in 5 years. They will take on the Atlanta Braves starting on Monday.
