Justin Herbert Will Remain The Starting Quarterback Moving Forward

Los Angeles Chargers v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The first round rookie out of Oregon Justin Herbert will remain the Los Angeles Chargers starting quarterback going forward.

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn announced today that Herbert will remain the starter even if Tyrod Taylor is healthy and active for Monday night’s game at New Orleans. Taylor will be the No. 2 quarterback if he’s cleared to play after suffering a punctured lung from a painkilling injection administered by a team doctor.

Coach Anthony Lynn has been hesitant moving off Tyrod but now, Herbert will begin serving as the permanent starter on Monday against the New Orleans Saints.
