Milwaukee Bucks Have Boycotted Game 5 Of The Playoffs Vs Magic

In an unexpected turn of events, the Milwaukee Bucks have boycotted Game 5 of the first round of the playoffs vs. the Orlando Magic.

The Milwaukee Bucks had refused to come out for Game 5 of their series against the Orlando Magic as players mull whether to boycott the game in the wake of the police shooting of Jacob Blake, who was shot seven times by officers over the weekend.

Before the NBA restart, players were hesitant to participate in the NBA restart, wary of taking focus off the nation’s race reckoning in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis police. The shooting of Blake has renewed those concerns, with players in the bubble in active talks with the player’s union about boycotting playoff games.

Other teams around the league have had discussions including the Celtics and Raptors who have a Game 1 coming up this week.
