Second Worker Dies At SoFi Stadium Construction Site

Another worker has died while working on the construction site at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The company that operates the site, Turner-AECOM Hunt, confirmed the death to theLos Angeles Times. According to Turner-AECOM Hunt, the man died Tuesday after showing signs of a health issue. 

"His co-workers promptly summoned help and an onsite EMT and local paramedics responded," the company said in a statement, via theTimes. "Unfortunately, it is with great sadness we confirm that he passed away of what appears to be a personal health related cause."

The most recent death marks the second time in less than 35 days that someone has died at the construction site. On June 5, an ironworker identified as Juan Becerra died after falling from a roof at the stadium. Construction activity at the stadium site was temporarily haled after Becerra's death. 

Construction for the new SoFi Stadium started in November 2016, is scheduled to open next month. The new building, which is 97% done.
