Writer Hints At Los Angeles Dodgers Opening Day Opponent

Los Angeles Dodgers v San Francisco Giants

Major League Baseball Opening Day is just weeks away and we might just know the Dodgers Opening Day opponent barring any setbacks in these next couple of weeks.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, The Giants will open the 60-game regular season at Dodger Stadium on July 23 if the tentative schedule is not changed, several sources have told The Chronicle. The original schedule also had them in Los Angeles for the first game March 26. Manager Gabe Kapler announced that Johnny Cueto would get the assignment.

Henry Schulman cautioned that schedule revisions are possible and that teams are reviewing their schedules and can seek changes, as they do every year. Although nothing is finalized, nothing would be better than a San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers NL West rivalry game the first day of the season.
