Los Angeles will be hosting a public memorial on February 24th at Staples Center for Kobe Bryant and eight others killed tragically last month in a helicopter crash, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The tragic event took place Sunday, January 26th killed the Lakers icon, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, as well as parents, coaches and players on Bryant’s Mamba Academy basketball team. Fans from around the globe have gone down to Staples Center to pay respects to Kobe Bryant and all the victims by signing boards, putting out flowers & more.
In addition to Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna killed in the crash, the seven other victims will be honored as well.
-Ara Zobayan
-John Altobelli, the longtime baseball coach at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, along with his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa.
-Sarah Chester and Payton Chester.
-Christina Mauser an assistant coach to Bryant on the Mamba Sports Academy team.
