REPORT: Melvin Gordon Could Be Very Close To Ending His Holdout

Los Angeles Chargers v Cleveland Browns

Could we be seeing Melvin Gordon pretty soon?

According to Adam Schefter, he is reporting that we might be seeing Melvin Gordon in the next couple weeks and will likely end his hold out.

It was expected that Gordon would return in about 6-8 weeks, but he has the itch to get on the field sooner than that to show his value. Just last week, he said that he was going to play somewhere this season and it would be a waste of talent if he sat out the whole season.

Without Gordon, Los Angeles ranked 13th in the league with in rushing per game. Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson have done a nice job carrying the load, leaving some in uncertainty about Gordon's future.

Gordon is scheduled to make $5.6 million in the final year of his rookie deal. His camp was given permission to seek a trade, but they were unable to make any progress with that.
