The overarching theme was a couple months before Swann got hired, the USC search firm bragged about having 200 qualified applicants. Swann was not one of them. Starting in 93, USC has hired all former players as the athletic directors.
It is hopefully a sea change moment at the University Of Southern California. It should be a very interesting next six months at USC.
