DeMarcus Cousins Suffers A Torn ACL

According to Shams Charania, Demarcus Cousins has suffered a torn ACL injury while working out in Las Vegas and will undergo an MRL to reveal the extent of the injury.

Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Lakers after playing a season for the Warriors in last season. He averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds in 30 regular-season games for the Warriors after returning from an Achilles injury. After playing well towards the end of the regular season, Cousins then tore his left quadriceps in the first round of the playoffs.

The Lakers had hopes of pairing newly acquired All-Star big man Anthony Davis and Cousins again like they did in New Orleans. With Boogie expected to miss a long period of time, the Lakers will head into the season with Javele McGee as the only other true center.
