It has been a pretty crazy time for Los Angeles basketball.
The Los Angeles Lakers just missed out on getting Kawhi Leonard and forming one of the best big three's in NBA history while the Clippers got to pair Leonard with Paul George. But just because he decided to sign with the team they share the same building with doesn't mean that Anthony Davis holds a grudge against Leonard.
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Davis talked about how he wasn’t disappointed that Kawhi chose the Clippers over the Lakers, but admits how great it would have been if they acquired the two time champion.
“I’m never disappointed for another man. I mean, you’re a grown man,” Davis said of his reaction to Leonard’s decision. “Obviously, us having him, you could have marked us up as champions right there. But the Staples Center is gonna be a lot of fun this year. It’s got two great teams. Obviously, we brought a lot of excitement back to the Lakers organization, where we’re supposed to be, what all the fans are used to, so that’s gonna be fun. And then every night going into Staples, especially against the Clippers, is gonna be a battle. We’re excited about it.”
Davis was acquired by the Lakers back in June with the New Orleans Pelicans.
