With the trade deadline approaching, the Dodgers have been linked to some pretty big names so far.
According to Andy Martino of SNY Network, the Dodgers are among a handful of teams that are showing interest in the right-hander pitcher. Syndergaard is struggling a bit this season going 7-5 with a 4.33 ERA, 3.64 FIP and 1.26 WHIP in 20 starts in 2019. He has struck out 126 compared to just 36 walks in 126.2 innings though but is known to be one of the best young pitchers in major league baseball today.
The Mets asking price will likely be very high for the pitcher with two years still left on his contract. According to a rival executive, here is what it would take to acquire the young pitcher:
Impression is that trading for Noah Syndergaard would require a top 30 prospect and a couple of other solid pieces, one rival exec said earlier today.
The trade deadline is this upcoming Wednesday, July 31st.
