Edwin Rios talks with David Vassegh to talk about the opportunity he has in front of him and how big his family has been in this process.
On where his dad is and why he is his biggest influence:
He's Orlando with the rest of the family. I flew them out to Denver so they witnessed my first hit. When I got to 3rd and just looking up at the stands and see them jumping around was special.
It is unbelievable what it meant. How tough he was on me and there's times I was angry at him for being tough on me but I look back now and if he wasn't as tough on me as he was, maybe I wouldn't be in the position I am now.
On if that first hit was for his dad:
After the game having my ball and handing it to him. He kinda lost it and then I kinda lost it and we hugged it out.
