The signed Kobe Bryant high school jersey is returning safe and sound to Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania more than two years after it was stolen from the display case.
According to Dave McMenamin, the jersey was in the possession of a man named Liu Zhe said that he bought a Kobe Bryant high school jersey from a seller online for $2000. Zhe then became suspicious of the jersey he and quickly contacted someone from Lower Merion High School. after realizing that jersey has been missing for the last two years.
The jersey then was take to a memorabilia shop close by where they confirmed it is indeed authenticated jersey. Zhe asked for no compensation for returning the jersey. The autographed jersey was the one that he wore in the 1996 PIAA Boys' Basketball 4A State Championship.
Bryant's No. 33 was retired at Lower Merion after he scored 2,883 points during his high school career from 1992 to 1996.
