From now until March 1st, the Lakers could be adding another player to the roster.
The Lakers reportedly expressed interest in all of the high-profile names on the buyout market like Carmelo Anthony, Wayne Ellington, Enes Kanter, etc. The Lakers right now are hopeful they can still sign a big name free agent before the playoff-eligibility waiver deadline on March 1.
According to Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus, the Lakers are "eyeing" DeAndre Jordan if he in fact becomes available before March 1st.
A better fit would be New York Knicks center DeAndre Jordan, who the Lakers are eyeing before the March 1 playoff-eligibility waiver deadline.
But while Jordan might be in New York’s plans, he reportedly has his eyes set on a return to Los Angeles this summer. According to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, Jordan is interested in coming to back to the west coast, either with the Clippers or the Lakers.
