LeBron James On The Eastern Conference: "They Ain't Gotta Go Through Me"

Teams around the Eastern Conference were very active right before the trade deadline.

James spoke with The Athletic's Joe Vardon and gave his thoughts on why the East has been so active this year.

"Those top teams in the East, yeah, they're going for it. Toronto is going for it, Milwaukee's going for it, Philly. Boston (Celtics) believes they can do it, too. They know they ain't gotta go through Cleveland anymore. Everybody in the East thinks they can get to the Finals because they ain't gotta go through me."

Around the league, the Toronto Raptors acquired Marc Gasol, the Milwaukee Bucks got Nikola Mirotic, and the 76ers went and got Tobias Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers.

LeBron James and the Lakers are currently (28-27) after the win over the Celtics.
