The Dodgers acquired pitcher Jaime Schultz from the Rays in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Caleb Sampen according to a press release:
Schultz, 27, made 22 appearances (one start) with the Rays in 2018, going 2–2 with a 5.64 ERA while striking out 35 batters with 17 walks in 30 1/3 innings.
Sampen, 22, pitched in 13 games (11 starts) for Rookie-level Ogden in 2018, where he went 0-2 with a 5.04 ERA (17 ER/30.1 IP), striking out 43 batters and issuing nine walks. He was selected by the Dodgers in the 20th round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft.
