Anthony Davis On LeBron's Comments On Teaming Up: "I Don't Really Care"

New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis knows that his free agency period is coming up and players definitely have taken notice.

Davis talked with Zach Lowe about the comments that LeBron James had where he was asked about possibly playing with Anthony Davis.

"That would be amazing, like, duh. That would be incredible."

Davis responded by saying:

"I don't really care. Obviously it's cool to hear any high-caliber player say they want to play with me. But my job is to turn this team around. If we're 15-17, that means I'm not doing my job."

LeBron James' compliments go a long way, but saying anything more than what Davis said would be a pretty big slam on his teammates. The Pelicans are currently 15-17, and just two games out of first place in the Southwest Division. They still have plenty of time to make a run but Davis was clear that he’s not about to give up on his team.
