Dodgers Lose Hitting Coach Luis Ortiz To The Rangers

This offseason so far for the Dodgers has resulted in many coaches moving on to other opportunities.

Today it has been announced that the Rangers have named Luis Ortiz the hitting coach. Prior to his time with the Dodgers, Ortiz was with the San Diego Padres from 2015-17, where he was the field and hitting coordinator. For the final month of 2017, Ortiz was the Padres' hitting coach.

The Dodgers this month alone have lost General Manager Farhan Zaidi, third-base coachhitting coach, assistant hitting coach, game planning/communications coach, head of analytics department. Dodgers will be looking to replace many vacancies out right now.
