Luke Walton Explains Why Lonzo Wasn't Playing In The Fourth

Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-110 and picked up their 6th win of the season.

Derrick Rose hit a big shot over Lakers Lonzo Ball in the third quarter to tie the game and he made sure Lonzo heard an earful after he tied the game. Rose hit the shot and as he was running back on defense, NBA fans decided to do a little bit of lip reading while he ran back on defense.

Weak a**

It was interesting to see during the game that Lonzo Ball didn't play the last quarter and a half of the game. Luke Walton explained why he decided to put him on a minutes restriction.

“Yeah. It was going back to Lonzo (or) do we go back to Josh Hart? If we go back to Josh, do we put him in for Rondo? Put him in for Tyson, switch everything? All those thoughts are going through the head as the game is going. But Rondo was doing a really nice job of just being a point guard out there, so we stuck with Rondo. And then obviously Tyson, he was doing a good job getting up on those 3-point shots on the screen, kind of being there to stop the ball, and we obviously could use his rebounding like we did down the stretch.”

The Lakers are now 5-6 on the season.
