Yesterday, the Dodgers fell to the Boston Red Sox 5-1 to officially end their season. Someone who has been an important piece to the Dodgers season is Matt Kemp.
In December, the Atlanta Braves traded The Atlanta Braves traded outfielder Matt Kemp to the Dodgers for Adrian Gonzalez, Brandon McCarthy, Scott Kazmir and Charlie Cluberson. It was a shocking move, but in reality Matt Kemp was such a huge piece to get the Dodgers back to the World Series.
After Game 5, Matt Kemp took to Instagram to show his appreciation for the city that welcomed him back with open arms after the trade was announced.
Thank u LA for welcoming me back home. We came up short but we definitely felt the love this year. Thanks to all my teammates that made this season one to remember. We will be back and be better.
The Dodgers have a lot of bright young starts along with strong veterans to come back next year and make another run. As for now, the Dodgers will have to figure out ways in free agency to get back to the World Serie.
