REPORT: Brewers Emerging As Frontrunner For Manny Machado

Do the Dodgers need to add an elite bat like Manny Machado to get back to the World Series?

If the front office thinks so, they may need to move fast.

The Orioles star is the hottest name on the market as the MLB trade deadline approaches. And although the Dodgers are reportedly among the 'most serious suitors' for Machado, the Milwaukee Brewers might have an edge according to MLB Insider Jon Morosi.

Per MLB.com:

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported over the weekend that the Dodgers and Brewers were the most serious suitors for Machado. On Sunday, multiple sources confirmed to MLB.com that those two teams are among the most aggressive in pursuing Machado -- but that others are involved.

And based on their respective farm systems -- and organizational strategies -- Milwaukee is better positioned than Los Angeles to land Machado.
