Warriors Sweep Cavs For Third NBA Title In Four Years

Warriors, NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors have cemented their place as a dynasty with a dominant NBA Finals performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Warriors blew out Cleveland 108-85 on Friday night to secure a series sweep for their second consecutive NBA title and third in the past four years. All four seasons during this span have featured Golden State and the Cavs pitted against each other in the NBA Finals.

Warriors guard Steph Curry led the way on Friday with a 37-point outburst. Teammate Kevin Durant finished the night with 20 points, while LeBron James poured in a team-high 23 points for the Cavs.

Durant was named NBA Finals MVP after averaging 28.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game.

While the NBA Finals may be over, the summer excitement is just heating up. The NBA Draft will be held on June 21, with a highly-anticipated free agency period set to get underway on July 1. Among this year's top free agents include LeBron James, Paul George and DeMarcus Cousins.
