The Los Angeles Rams head into the 2018 season as one of the favorites in the NFC, with Super Bowl aspirations undoubtedly in the picture.
Rising star QB Jared Goff is a primary reason why, and Bleacher Report has taken notice.
In a recent ranking of the NFL's top "under-the-radar MVP candidates", Goff found his way near the top the list.
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette was listed No. 1, with Goff right behind him in the No. 2 slot. Texans QB Deshaun Watson, Giants QB Eli Manning and Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott were also listed.
Per Bleacher Report:
If not for running back Todd Gurley II's stellar season, for which he earned Offensive Player of the Year, Goff would have more hype as an MVP candidate. He lost wideout Sammy Watkins, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, but welcomed Brandin Cooks—a speedy receiver capable of stretching the field. The fifth-year pass-catcher has three consecutive campaigns with 1,000 yards.
