Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson Practice Together At Augusta

Two long-time rivals teed it up together in a practice round for this week's first major of the golf season. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson were all smiles at Augusta National.

Although they could face each other this week in Augusta, Mickelson wanted to get a practice run his rival. Per USA Today:

“It was good to be able to watch what he was doing and how he was hitting it,” Mickelson said of Woods. “I wanted to see him play.”

If they do happen to cross paths this week, it would be great to see on one of golf's most hallowed grounds. Woods and Mickelson both come into the tournament playing good golf. Both are in their 40's. Will they turn back the clock?

Mickelson already has a win this season and Woods has been knocking on the door.

Fred Couples and Thomas Pieters played with the two golfing superstars. Couples said Woods made eagles on both par 5's on the back side of the course.

Here's another quote from the USA Today article:

“Thomas and I, we got shalayleed,” Couples put it. “We were 2 up after 2 and then it didn’t go so well after that. It was fun. It was very loud, it was very fun, and they hit some really good shots. Wow.”
