Raiders Release Marquette King, Waive Clive Walford

The Oakland Raiders announced on Friday that they have released punter Marquette King, a fan favorite and second team All-Pro in 2016. They also waived tight end Clive Walford.

King joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2012, and rose in popularity due to his dances and celebrations after punts. Walford, a third-round pick, recorded 70 receptions for 768 yards and six touchdowns during his three-year stint with the team.

Shortly after announcing the departures of King and Walford, the Raiders revealed that they had re-signed veteran safety Reggie Nelson.
