Dodgers Starter For Spring Training Opener Revealed

The Los Angeles Dodgers have revealed their starting pitcher for Friday's Cactus League Opener against the Chicago White Sox.

Wilmer Font, a right-handed pitcher the Dodgers hope can provide rotation depth in 2018, will take the mound as the Boys in Blue kick off Spring Training action at Camelback Ranch.

Font appeared in three games for the Dodgers last season, allowing seven earned runs and four walks over the course of 3.2 innings, while striking out three batters.

The 27-year-old fared much better at Triple-A OKC, where he posted a 3.48 ERA in 25 starts.

First pitch is scheduled for 12:05pm, with Dodgers on Deck at 11:30am.
