The Oakland Raiders have bought 55 acres for $6 million in Henderson, Nev. for their future practice facilities and headquarters, the Mercury News reports.
“This is the first step in creating a state-of-the-art permanent headquarters and practice facility in Henderson," Raiders president Mark Badain said. "We believe that it will continue to establish the organization as a strong business and community partner in Southern Nevada.”
The Raiders broke ground on their new stadium in mid-November 2017 and expect it to be ready for the 2020 season. Groundbreaking on the practice facility is expected to occur in April or May of this year.
