After undergoing season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder last June, Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias is back in action.
The hard-throwing lefty is officially throwing again after seven months off the mound. The extended absence stemmed from an injury suffered during a stint at Triple-A OKC.
Urias posted a video of the progress to his Instagram account, with a caption translating to the following:
The happiest day of therapy thank god .. back with the ⚾️ after 7 months!
If Urias' recovery continues to go smoothly, he could be available in the later stages of the 2018 season.
The 21-year-old posted a 5-2 record with a 3.39 ERA in 18 appearances in 2016, before taking a step back last season. Urias made five starts in 2017, going 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA.
