There will no longer be any questions swirling about the future of embattled UCLA head coach Jim Mora.
The Bruins have decided to part ways with Mora amid a 5-6 season. The decision comes following a 28-23 loss to USC in their annual rivalry.
UCLA has named offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch as the team's interim head coach for the remainder of the 2017 season.
"Making a coaching change is never easy, but it's an especially difficult decision when you know that a coach has given his all to our University," UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero said in a release. "Jim helped reestablish our football program, and was instrumental in so many ways in moving the program forward. While his first four seasons at UCLA were very successful, the past two seasons have not met expectations. We thank Jim and his family for his service to our school and his unquestionable commitment to our student-athletes."
The Bruins close out the regular season on Friday night at home against Cal, looking to become bowl eligible with a win.
